I go by the nickname Quebracho, after the type of tree that grows in the Gran Chaco region of South America.  In Spanish, Quebracho means "axe-breaker." The fibers of the tree were so strong and hard that the Spanish "colonizers" broke their axes trying to cut it down. Quebracho is also the title of a 1974 Argentine film by director Ricardo Wullicher. But I digress...now, where were we?...Ah, yes...my given name is David, of which I am equally proud.
